Good luck, just remember roosted ain’t roasted. But it’s a great place to start. Did Ohio open today and nobody killed?

Boy do I know it, been schooled many times by rooted birds. But it's way better than stumble fucking around at daylight without any leads and trying to run to one that roost gobbles way off.

Talked to the guy down the road tonight and he said nothings gobbling, we'll see in the morning.

Ha. That sucker literally came off the roost and walked right behind the neighboring property owners house and over the hill gobbling and drumming the whole way. 😅

We went down the ridge to see what was down there. On the way back out the bird from this morning had come back closer but was still over the property line. We got closer and set up to try and call him across. He'll gobble but he must be with a hen that immediately drug him away from us. That's ok. He knows we're here and she won't be with him all day.

Boom
Perfect hunt

This mother fucker. 😅. I was just laying down for a nap when he gobbled within hearing distance again. He worked all the way back to us and got to within 70 yards but would not cross the property line. Gobbeld his head off both to a call and by himself. He's worked away again moving off. I bet he's 300 yards

We made a move and saw him across the neighbors backyard pond. Set up some decoys about 10 yards on our side in hopes to draw him over the line when he does his loop again. Ole tom tom the backyard bird bout to get snatched if he does it again.

Got a full 60 acres of hardwoods behind us and we're setup not 10 yards from the property line. Some people don't think it be like it is, but it do. 🙄

Calling it a day, deer, squirrels and not a turkey sound was heard. I even walked over to the next wood lot with no response.
