Thanks guys, got my passport paperwork all done, pics taken, now I have to call the post office to set up an appointment because all the tellers are not certified to process the app., my buddy has the # to call so we can schedule our ferry ride , you have to schedule at least 2 months out the outfitter said. It would be a hell of alot easier to fly but my buddy won't get on a plane so I aint arguing since he is footing the bill, lol. Its 1897 miles one way, 36 hours if we drive straight through. just waiting for things to fall in place now, my buddy is supposed to call tonight with some more info I will keep everyone updated.

Just to update everyone on our trip we are all payed up and ready to go, the down side is its for the 2014 season, in all actuality this works out better for me and when I told my buddy this he said I know, thats why I did it! I am still beside myself when I think about this, I can't believe Steve is actually doing this. Steve is going to go to Washington state this fall on a elk hunt so he said our trip can be next year when I am all healed up. He is actually going to fly to Portland for his elk trip and said if he can stand it then we will fly to Newfoundland instead of driving . We will arrive on Sunday, have a 5 day hunt and leave the following Sat. The lodge sits right on Notre Dame bay, the ocean is actually in the front yard, all the modern conveniences, electric, hot and cold water, showers, and internet! so I will update daily from there. Included in the hunt is trout fishing and lobster fishing and one morning a boat tour to see icebergs and whales. The outfitter and his wife stay at the lodge and she is also the cook, Their motto is "come as a client and leave as a friend".
