Under armour drops sponsorship for spearing bear

Normally I try to contribute to a discussion with a well reasoned and erudite response, but today I'm not really feeling it.

I'm sick to fucking death of this mamby pamby pansified pussyfied politically correct country we're becoming.
Fuck the anti-hunting city slicker baloney eating motherfucking hypocrites who have no idea where food comes from.
And fuck people who think hunting is barbaric. And that animals should be worshipped and adored.
Fuck Walt Disney for giving my fucking food a character and a voice.
Fuck people who think I lack intelligence and must be an inbred hillbilly because I like to hunt. I'm smarter than you think, motherfucker.

Know what else? I can't throw for shit. I can't throw a fucking baseball 20 ft. But there is a part of me that would love to harpoon a whitetail (or even a bear).
But I ain't gonna do it, 'cause 1) it ain't legal here and 2) I'd worry about wounding the animal. But if it was legal and I was as confident as I am with my crossbow or muzzleloader, I'd be on the road to deer kabob.

I'm supposed to respect other people's beliefs and feelings. Guess what? FUCK THEM ALL, I'm really fucking fed up and tired of eating shit, and you wanna know why?
I have yet to meet ONE SINGLE MOTHERFUCKING ANTI-HUNTER who hasn't treated me with an air of disdain and contempt. I have yet to meet ONE SINGLE MOTHERFUCKING ANTI-HUNTER who is willing to listen to an opposing viewpoint - willing to even entertain the notion that they might not be right, or that there are any gray areas or room for differing opinions. My wife is the ONLY person I know who doesn't really like hunting but supports my opinion with respect. The only one, period.

So to all the politically active anti hunting community members in the US, please note that I'm renewing my US Sportsman's Alliance membership early, with an extra gift on top of the membership fee. (And to the Alliance I apologize for the harsh language in this post - my poor rambling should in no way be considered a reflection of the high caliber representation you carry out on behalf of sportsmen everywhere.)

FUCK!@ See?!? I felt in order to be politically correct and not reflect badly upon the Alliance, I apologized for my coarse language. Frankly, I'm sick of this conditioning.

Such bullshit.

I hope the numbnut that posted the fistpump gloryshot photo that started this shitstorm at least ate the bearsteaks.

Goddammit:mad:

And UA? You want none of me, and I want none of you. And neither of us care about the other, and the world keeps on spinning.

Well said.

All well and good for my rant, but Joe was making the reasonable argument - we have to stand up for our rights.
And we have to vote with our pocketbooks. By supporting the vendors who support us.
But we also have to vote with our voice - and stand up against politically correct stupidity.

I think at times alot of us have tricked ourselves into thinking we are part of a "silent majority" and that someday everything will eventually work out.
I'm telling you, in some ways we've advanced as a society in the last 40 years, but "political correctness" will be the death of our culture.
And when people talk about hunting being bad and animal cruelty blah blah we need to call them out on it - check them for hypocrisy, and how much they really know about things.
We need to be prepared with sound, reasonable arguments.
We need to be prepared to listen to the parts of what anti's have to say that has some validity, like the need to stop illegal poaching of endangered species.
But we need to be prepared to give rational, reasonable arguments to the DUMBASSES who want to reintroduce wolves because they watched a fucking Kevin Costner movie 'n' shit.
We gotta be brave, and we can't be lazy, because the enemy (and they are the enemy of our culture) is relentless, has an endless supply of ammunition of BULLSHIT, and an endless supply of targets (ill-informed dumbasses who'll jump on any bandwagon) tp feed that bullshit to. And Half-Truths are easily digested and oh-so tasty....how can you not argue against cruelty?

We gotta raise a voice.
But honestly, it feels like we've already lost the battle.

If we go down, let's do it in a pile of brass, so to speak.

It's been a little over a month and most of the world has moved along from this story. Here's a really good read from Wired to Hunt that I came across about what We, as hunters need to think about.

I haven't forgotten. UA gear purchased in the last month $0.

UA baby onesies returned that were gifted $42

Just because you don't hear about it any more doesn't mean people have suddenly started purchasing Under Armor in the hunting garment world. Wonder if their sales have taken any kind of hit though.

I think this goes beyond Mr. Rank's view on this. (I don't see it here like other places) we as hunters fight amongst ourselves about stupid shit! "You crossbow hunters are cheating" "you bow hunters have way to long of a season" all this bullshit needs to stop. We don't have a fighting chase when the other side is organized and against us. We need to band together or loose everything like today's white man. I don't mean that in any racist ways, it's the hard truth. Today's white man has let things get by so long that they are now at the hands of everything they once "let happen".

I think this is my first post on this thread...it angers me that we even have to think defensively. It is exactly what we have to do though.

I think it is funny that even after UA bowed to the antis the antis continued to harass UA to drop their hunting line altogether. So now they have hunters and antis boycotting their products.

I guess when you put it that way perhaps we are cutting our own throats in a way. Some might say at least they support us enough to actually invest in our market of hunting clothes. They very well could just pull out and say fuck-it it isn't worth it.

So who is making like products that are comparable? I wear the boxer briefs and a undershirt every day and I'm needing to start replacing them. Not sure what the undershirts are actually called...they are designed to be worn under body armor. I got a bunch back when I had my store. Skin tight but stretchy
