Went up to the UP with a couple buddies in search of ice and walleyes. Found both. We had a great time and didn’t have any hiccups on our end, but some random dude did. We spent 5ish hours trying to get his rig out. Broke 2 steel cable winches, one ice anchor cable and the whole front end of dudes CanAm starting moving in ways that it shouldn’t move. I learned that I will never ever ever have tracks on a machine ever. Fugg allllll of that, I don’t care how good they are in the snow, if there’s too much snow for wheels I’ll sit in the cabin and drink.

I’ve enjoyed the daily updates from saggy sack. It appears you guys had a great trip! I think it’s crazy the variety of fish you ice fishing nut jobs catch on the same bait. Having never done it, I love to hear about these ice adventures. But as the fool with the sunken Can Am can attest, I don’t think I need to get started doing it.
Glad you guys had a fun and safe trip!

Few more pics I have on my phone, think there may be more on my fancy pants camera.

@jagermeister we spent all of our days except 1 on South Manistique and 1 day on Little Bay De Noc. And I totally understand how bad ass tracks are, but I’m a prepare for the worst type of guy and I’d be just as sad as buddy if I put my shit through the ice with them and have my rig start getting pulled in half lol, I don’t think you’d have the same issue with tires? But, I also don’t drag 2000-2500lbs of shit onto 8+/-“ of shit ice so I guess I’d never have to worry about it lol.
