Updates on hunting trip

Wind has picked up but temp is dropping steady. Hoping deer move tnight. Smoked up in towed stand in a blind. Scent is not a worry i don't think but anytime in a blind gotta wait for time to draw always a bit on edge by blinds.
 
Almost quitting time. Didn't see a deer today. Bummed thought tnight would be real good!
 
Hang in there, Albert. Tomorrow am ought to be awesome! If you have rattling horns, use them at first light. Then every hour after, with a soft grunt or two. Good luck!
 
Hang in there Al. Storm cleared out from yesterday. Moon was under at 455am. Moon was overhead at 430pm. It is November 7th. There is no "good" logical explanation for the lacking deer sightings in my opinion. Sometimes things just don't work out like we are hoping. I am not foreseeing two days in a row with you getting skunked. Good luck tomorrow brother!
 
Thanks all! Ya my uncle saw 4 does tnight. Just doesn't seem like heavy rutting yet. This was my first time getting skunked so I can't complain. I've seen a lot if deer IMO just no shooters yet. I love hunting tho damn!!!
 
Wow well my buddy shot a big one tonight couldn't find it. We are going to look for it tomorrow. I might have to give up hunting but worth helping a buddy!
 
In stand now. Nice morning hunting till about 1030 then gotta go look for a buddy's deer. Will probably hunt this evening around 230 or 3 is the plan.

This am is slow so far. Saw a few squirrels that's about it. I thought for sure deer would be cruising with these cold temps. I am sitting for another 2hrs and seeing what happens. Coyotes where going nuts at day break , yipping and yelling. As much as I love killing them always impress he to hear them.
 
Just passed a young buck at 6 yards. He tore up a scrape in front of he never knew I was there.
 
No luck boys. Had a great time I only got skunked one hunt. I saw about 30 deer this week and decided not to kill any does. Saw a lot of young bucks too. Good news is I'll be in stage day after thanksgiving and again for about 4 days after Xmas. I'll try my best to get her done!

Rut is kicking up on my farm now. The day I left I took a quick walk around the farm. I noticed a few fresh scrapes and rubs. I bet this second week will be lights out. I normally see good tutting around Thanksgiving too.
 
Just got back to my apartment! Thanks for all who kept up with the thread. I am going to keep it going because I will be in a tree again in two weeks! I didnt think it would work out that way but I got lucky and was able to get some things to line up!
