I will say it is a little uneasy and hard to decide. With the job I have now I know what I'm in for but with a new job the big unknown is killing me. Sometimes the grass isn't always greener lol. In my work history I have NEVER been in this position and have always gone from unemployed to a new job and not from working a job to go to another one. The first 4 or 5 places I ever worked for went out of business shortly after I quit them. Most of the time I think it's more stressful just getting use to new people at the job then the job itself. I'll admit, I have never been good with big changes lol. Heck, I just changed to carbon arrows and a shooting release 6.5 years ago lol.
If you were happy where you're at you wouldn't have been looking, you've been passed over for positions you're qualified for and it's always uneasy going from the known too the unknown.... I think you know the answer....
Tough decision man. Best of luck to you. Me personally... Going from 3 weeks to just 1 week of vacation would be a horrible pill to swallow. Not sure I could do it.
Officially accepted the job offer yesterday and turned in my 2 weeks notice. I'll start the new job on the 22nd. I have to call the manager back Friday to make sure all the paperwork is completed and ready to go.
I don't think my current employer will do that. They haven't done that with any others I know of in the past. If it should happen I'm sure they would figure something out if not I'll figure something out to get me by the next couple weeks.
I don't think they will get rid of me before my end date. They have a hard enough time keeping knowledgeable techs to keep them caught up. My replacement if a new hire takes it will be in training for a total of 9 weeks. After training they spend another 3 months minimum before going to 100% quota. Essentially making them useless with service calls and only doing installs. One good storm rolls in and the days out for service repairs will jump quickly.
Shouldn't effect mingo weekend much if any at all.

I was happy too see this Adam... You were miserable where you were at and hopefully this will be a good fit for you....
The days of staying with one employer has come and went, I was lucky to be able to do it... Most won't... It's a tough call leaving a comfortable situation but kudos too you for doing it... No what ifs down the road....
