I have two weeks saved up and I always take the 2nd week of November. I will take a day or two in October on the best days and then save the rest for gun season.
It varies from year to year. I try to wait for the Hunter's moon before I take my 1st day of the 10 days.

I've already warned her that she shouldn't plan to see me at all during that period other than meal time and after dark! lol
I'm hoping so. I took a long weekend last year and didn't see much rut activity until the last day and that was still small bucks just starting to chase. I think that was the 5-8 So i decided to bump it back a week this year. hopefully it pays off.
I'm off the 30th- 10th . Least on the work calendar. I may end up working a day or two if I can't make arrangements for getting the boy after school.
