I spent 9 yrs in the Ohio National Guard, 5 of them in the Active Guard/Reserve (AGR) program. Some of the finest service members/teachers i had the privilege of serving with were previously Marines. Nothing but respect here.

Brothers...try and not shit your pants today. 
Lots of sacrifices over the years while serving. Some good and some bad times, but looking back I’m proud of my accomplishments as well as the accomplishments of folks who served with me.
If you know anyone who served reach out and give them a check in to make sure they’re doing ok.

Most of my favorite veterans belong to this site, and I appreciate the fuck out of you guys. As a civilian, I've appreciated watching the camaraderie that exists amongst all the branches, and the ball bustes between the branches. You guys are all deeply appreciated.

Just came back from a local farm market (Schober’s in Monroeville, NJ). They give out free apples, white potatoes, sweet potatoes, broccoli, apple cider, cookies, honey and also have a food truck set up for free meals to veterans. They’ve been doing it every Veterans Day since 2012. Always a huge turnout and very much appreciated. Local Wawa was giving free coffee to veterans also.
