I had the same thought yesterday. The first man to get shot while drawing, nobody knows his name. But to me he deserves to be honored like any other first responder killed in the line of duty. He was a volunteer who acted to preserve the life of others and paid an ultimate price. Yet there will be no motorcade, no line of police cars from every state, no pomp and circumstance.
