Not sure if the appropriate section....

Looking to get about 50 used ones for a backstop - I know the regular commercial routes, but looking for something a little cheaper. If anyone has any thoughts/connections/etc. I'm willing to do the work to load them, etc.

Best way to get them is knowing a track worker from the railroad, they will tell u where an old stack is.

Check out rammed earth using old tires. Cheap and last forever. A friend has these at te end of his 250 yard range.

Get with farmers or csx. Usually they just dispose of them when they pull them/ replace. I got mine free from a farmer and made myself a backstop.

How many do you want? I have some I need to dispose of. Car, truck, backhoe, bobcat, lawn mower. . . Amazing how we clear them out and suddenly within a couple years there are a dozen or more sitting around. Lol

Probably more than it would cost me to pay for the disposal charges. Lol

Too bad you're 1,000 miles away, I know where there's about 2 semi loads of them stacked beside the tracks.
