Well water here. They had a refurbished one I bought. I want to say $1200-1500 versus $2000-2500 new. That was about 10years ago. No power. Water powered. On demand system.

Softener companies love selling systems to anyone they can get to buy one and sign up for salt delivery.

County water, high in hardness. Just had a Sterling 45,000 grain system installed for around $1300.00.
