Maybe for you shovel holder uppers, teachers and government guys.
Friday night is a major band night for Champion high school. They will be spelling out Zach's name on the field. I WILL be there for sure!
As far as the rest of the weekend, I plan on being in the stand as much as I can. My plans for tonight are spoiled already, so Thursday night will be my first sit.
Right now I'm planning on hunting in the morning, but if I wake up and it's raining I'll probably just sleep in. It's supposed to blow from the west here tomorrow, so there's only one spot right now that I feel comfortable hunting this early in the game. It's on a knoll... a small chunk of higher ground, less than one acre, that juts out into a corn field. On the west side and point of the knoll is a small stream, between the corn and the knoll. East of the knoll is highway. I can walk in from the east before daylight, and the west wind will carry my scent away from the corn field. I'm hoping the deer will come to lay down up on that knoll. I found a huge rub in there this past winter, and several good size beds.
I have every intention of hunting Saturday morning. It would be my first this year.PUMPED, TOO say the least!!!
Damn it...
Just checked tomorrow's forecast and it's gotten worse. Pretty much 100% chance of rain all day, with afternoon wind gusts near 30 mph. I have a feeling I'll be sleeping in tomorrow... :smiley_boos:
