Well, I've always felt good things happen too good people and that happened this afternoon....

Dickie who helped me by going out turkey hunting with me and showing this novice a few tricks of the trade and walked a bird right into me, scored a great bird.... 22lb, 1 1/4" spurs and wait too you see the beard!!!!






Couldn't be happier for him, great guy and friend....

Update too all of this... The bird actually had 4 beards and would be ranked #11 in the state and #1 for our county and 560ish for all time USA....

Was talking with BigSlam last night and he asked if he was getting it measured and entered in the books.... That I had never discussed with Dick, and I made mention to him as Chad had ran the numbers and was impressed and I had no clue as I don't follow that kind of stuff.... Texted Dick and told him he should get it scored and put his name in the books so he'd be famous forever lol.... I was half joking but he got too thinking of it and had it officially scored today and submitted it....

Very happy for him and thanks Chad for starting that conversation that got this rolling.... Dickie is a good fella and couldn't be happier for him....
