Ok I got one. Last Saturday as I was coming up the service drive I see this hawk struggling to fly away. At first I thought it had West Nile virus. As I got close I seen that it had a snake in its talons along with a bunch of grass. It wouldn’t let go of the snake to get away lol. I backed off and eventually it took off with the snake.
First here for me while at Lake of the Ozarks last week. These feed on microorganism type stuff, so aside from a spring snagging season, you don’t catch them while fishing. But this one’s paddle got wrapped in my catfish line…. Quite the surprise when I pulled it up.
