J have you discovered the NC delicacy that is Neese’s sausage? Cheese grits and the wife’s homemade gravy.

Also only for you J, you live on the liverpudding / livermush line, that is the Yadkin River.

That is no joke, you can not get neese’s livermush over here and out west you can’t get liverpudding.

The wife has actually seen the Neese sausage.
She said thanks for the heads up and she’ll pick some up today for breakfast tomorrow 👍🏼

Looks delicious Clay. ENJOY!😜

Has anyone here ever tried Goetta? I imagine Dustin, BC, Jon, Giles and Dan have being they’re from SW Ohio or lived near Cincy at some point as it’s treated like a delicacy in these parts by many. It’s a German sausage that has pin oats as one of the ingredients and many hardcore lovers will eat it if it’s made from scratch or from their granny or mother from handed down recipes. Although that might be the best it’s also sold here at Kroger’s and other grocery stores and a popular brand here is Gliers which I’ve had that is pretty good as well. A slab fried in a little bacon grease then presented along side of a few eggs over easy and toast will do you just fine!
I just mentioned this because the Neese Sausage reminds me of Goetta and sounds like they both are regional favorites of many. 👍🏻

SW Dan brought NE Ben a tube of Goetta last year. We cooked some up at camp. It’s edible but must be an acquired taste. It’s nice to try new foods. I’ll eat anything once. Go for it J.

Yeah, that might be a hard sell, Clay 😂
I’ve had scrapple and it wasn’t bad. Not typically something I’d consume on a regular basis but for that every once in a while something different breakfast.

Holy Shit! Don’t even compare that shit they scrap off the floor to liver pudding.
