This says they're poisonous to livestock but grazing animals can eat them. I wonder if that means deer?

A little more research says that they are poisonous to deer as well and cases were reported of deer, cows, and kids dying from eating them.
All right Mike I feel horrible for implying that you should let your kids eat one and judge by their expression on what it might be.. So if you have learned anything its not to listen to me....

Never knew what they were either. I do know they are in my cattle pastures and the cattle don't eat as their always there when I move the cattle out. Seen some today when I moved my cattle from one pasture to another.
I don't think I'd trust it with those spines on it like that haha and WHOA look at that! What a great resource you used there
