What's that one fruit tree that's like crack for deer? Drawing a blank on the name but the fruit is the size of golf all maybe? You don't see many around but the ones you do, will have deer going to it....

Well, so far so good, I greased up my upper feeder poles & encased them in cayenne pepper flakes. The coon hasn't touched them since. The deer ? they've become kinda lazy ....
In all my time in the woods in Ohio i have only found one. It was in champaign county north of Urbana in a woodblock. I found it shed hunting and saw the woody cap, thought no way then kicked around until i saw some seeds. If i hadn't grown up in the south i never would have known what i was looking at.Been here in SW Ohio 42 yrs now and have only seen 1 persimmon tree. It was on the farm that we did crop control permits on. That farm is now a housing development. Hell they probably cut it down. Damn they was good after a hard frost.
