Which one? The one dangling or the other one? This is my kids playground. The sun goes behind the hill long before deer start to move here. It's high noon in that pic. Still 1.5 hours of light when you can't see the sun here.

There's 50 other threads here about baiting and it's ups and downs. This thread is about the person doing what they think is best to help the deer.I understand the motivation and desire to supplement and bait. I don't have any dogs in the fight. Ohio says it's legal so it's legal. I don't even have an issue with them!
Here is the heads up. Penna. Game Commission believes that the spread of CWD (now in Ohio in wild herd) is happening from places like bait piles and mineral supplement gathering places. So enjoy them while you can! You may want to consider though ahead of time just what we are facing over here in Pa.
Now I'm pretty sure it got here through "deer farms" which were not allowed to be managed by the Game Commission thanks to Harrisburg politics. Could be the same down your way too. Stay ahead of it folks and stay on your ODNR as well, not to keep the baiting and mineral rocks necessarily, but to stay ahead of the problem. There is no easy answer here...

Beat me to it. After all, as Ohio hunters, we are but mere tools in the all knowing hands of the ODNRThere's 50 other threads here about baiting and it's ups and downs. This thread is about the person doing what they think is best to help the deer.

Lol, I wasn't telling you to shut up. I was trying to steer you to the right place to share the information. Lots of debate on the subject in lots of different places here. I think to get the conversation going again, one of those threads would be the place to do it. This thread is one of the few that has stayed on track and is very inspiring to a lot of people. Thanks for the clarification brother! I'm just thinking about the health of the herd!
