I didn't take a pic, but I prepped the natural mineral lick I found last year while I was at the farm yesterday. Used rocks to make a couple "dams" to slow down the seep. I put a trace mineral block down, then cut down a few trees to make a better cam trap.

Also sprayed 2 plots to get them ready to plant in a couple weeks. Took my new supervisor with me. I could never get Remington to stay in this box, but she never budged. Stubborn and ornery, but she'll make a good dog.

Work had me in Holmes County today, so I made a much needed pitstop at Merit Seed. Talked with John for a bit and got some much needed direction on a couple of my plots. I've been planting Merit mixes for a few years and have not regretted it. The 12-Point blend is an awesome product and I expect the Platinum blend to live up to its billing.

For you guys still looking to buy seed, check these guys out.

I'm torn...I generally start staying out of my woods about this time of year so the doe's come in and have their fawns unbothered. Turkey been hitting it as well lately though and I kinda want to kill one this year...I think I'll sneak down and check the cam. If I see what to do next.

You ain't gonna bother the fawns, Dave. Go kill a turkey.
