I purchase whole corn locally at our TS and have been the past couple of years, This year, I would say it went up by nearly a couple of bucks, but I buy in bulk (at least 20 bags at a time) to qualify for a slightly more discount. Don't know what other TS charge in your area, but I've been getting it here cheaper than what they have been advertising recently and they have been honoring the price I been paying since before the real price hikes hit. I also get bonus points for each purchase that I can apply to my orders. In some cases, I even get my regular orders for nearly half the price by being apart of their 'preferred neighbor' program.

Thought I'd pass this information forward if by chance you're not aware of it.

Even after TSC dropped the Veterans discount they used to offer? You're still shopping there? My neighbor is retired Army and informed me of this recently. I didn't know they offered it. Rubbed him wrong and he said he won't go back. Figured that would turn you off, Denny? You have any input? Only out of curiosity.

Well... We bought 30 pounds of bacon to go with the bacon burgers and brat patties. 19.99 a box~~yer not going to find bacon cheaper than that! (Save A Lot Stores)

Thermal cover

Id like to plant the seed for those interested in creating cover on your property. Creating cover isn't just as simple as going out and hinge cutting a bunch of random trees in a random spot. It needs to be done in the right spot. Cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

Just thought provoking here folks. I hunt heavily pressured properties and they provide meat year after year. I believe these reasons are because of what I'm talking about. Most hunters don't seem to understand the lay of the land and how/why deer use it. I know I still have some learning to do but I could also do some teaching. All of this could possibly help someone understand "why don't deer use this area anymore" or man "deer never used to be here, now they're using it". All things to help the deer and your freezer. Things that don't include a corn pile. Or maybe help you get your corn pile used during daylight hours. Happy hunting folks! Be selective 😉
