I hope your joking but man men get a hard time from the wife about filling up the walls w trophy’s. My wife is not one of them and wants more. Got to know how to pickem boys.

We added a small apple flavored block to our mineral licks. Brown blocks are lasting much longer since getting them off the ground. Traffic has been picking up nicely past 30 days or so.
I'm sitting out watching our daily lone doe that beds close (150yrds from the yard) munch on some beans hearing another deer echoing snorts back in a ways has me thinking I have to get my shit together. I been missing out on all the stuff I love to do and just work. It's for my dream of a home build but working all the time and getting little fun time in is getting old. At least a house build will be for myself. A camera will go up 4th of July. I've got to get side work done by 2nd week of August to enjoy fall hunting and fishing....
Added 1# Apple blocks to our brown blocks. 5 spots total.
I drove around last night searching for bachelor groups and a deer population check. With the crops still short it's a great time to see how many are around. I found 2 bachelor sets a few miles from my house so they r in play. One group of 5 I believe were already together the last day of muzzleloader with no does. i would have killed 3 of them last year so I'm very excited to watch them. Good time to find that freak to get pumped for the season....
Got the mineral sites freshened up over the weekend and cleared a few trails. Definitely thinking about deer season and all the shit I need to get done. This covid shit really fucked up plans but I'm used to every year having fucked up plans LOL!
Picked berries with the girls on Sunday, so I was able to check on the acorn crop and the Corner Pocket plot. This red oak is loaded every year and there was sign of a large in size whitetail having been under it munching on clover, too. The food plot surprised me. I had dad brushhog it two weeks ago and I was worried it was too far gone, but it looked pretty good. I'll mow again soon, then fertilize and I'll add some seed to the bare spots. I may "dust" it with some brassicas and see what happens. We have beans on 4 acres and the most influential farm is in corn, so this little clover plot is going to be happening again this year. I'll be out there spraying the other 3 plots going in this fall. I'll have 4 food plots totaling 1 acre strung out N to S right in the middle of our place this year. No more planting on the periphery. You want to eat on our place, or check the food sources, gotta stroll right into the heart of things.
