Heck of a nice deer no doubt!!! I grossed him right at 155" as a 6x5. I have him a 15" inside spread as well. It is very challenging for anyone to be dead on a score just by looking at pictures, no matter how many angles you have. I don't give a flip what they net anymore but my guess would be in the mid 140's which means he's OBB and that means he's a very nice buck! I'd shoot him all day long even though he might just be a 3.5 year old.
A bucks antlers change from one season to the next. Just because they have a 10" g3 one year doesn't always mean they get longer. Mass and addition of more tines may make up the extra growth as well. IMO
Goodluck with him 150+! Hope you guys get him on the ground this year or next.
Oh, I know finelyshedded. We usually find the sheds of the deer we end up killing, and it is neat to see what changes they have made over the years. I know they can go downhill on some measurements, but the pics we got of this deer last year, and this year are in the exact same location. You can actually see the same trees in the background. The G3 last year was just about 11". If you compare it to this years pics it is noticeably longer this year. I am going to say you guys are close, and I think I am close too. Just depends on what direction the measurements lean. He might have a little less mass than I was thinking, but I think his tines are fooling everyone a bit. I've been moving cameras all over the place trying to see where this thing is staying during the day time so My Dad can get an oppurtunity at him. I know there are some people who hunt around our farm that would shoot him, and thats what puts him on the hit list for my Dad.Like My Dad, and I talked about. If we had complete control over all the area around here where we knew he would survive the hunters at least. We would pass him, but you can't pass up a 150"+ buck without having total control.
