Thanks for all the replies guys!! It looks like I'm going to be going with the 22-250 but it wouldn't take much to convince me to buy a .223 !!

The .22-250 is easily twice the power of the .223 with no compromise on accuracy...and at further distances.

I shoot a 5.56x45 or a .220 swift.

223.. Readily available ammo and at a decent price. Daniel you knock that nonsense off about twice the power...

Twice as loud maybe. More expensive ammo. Less ammo options. The 250 is a fun one to shoot though. I will stick with the 223 myself but in some setups the 22-250 works. Flat country options limit me somewhat.
