Got these little fockers come out at night in one of my spots.... What kind are they??

We have a cat that now only has 3 legs, when she was running on 4 good wheels she would catch about 15-20 of these a year. I would walk out on the front porch in the morning to find a spot of blood and the tail. Took me catching her in the act one night to figure out what the tail belonged to.
I unbeknownst cut down down a dead ash that had a momma flying squirrel with 4-5 very young babies. She relocated them right in front of my FIL and I. I have cool video of it on my phone but don’t know how to upload it on here.
Here’s a still shot of her with one of her young in her mouth not 1 foot from my hand.

You haven’t lived until you are in a deer stand before dawn and one of those little bastards lands on your chest! I had a stand in a big double oak that had a hollow spot in it where they had a nest. They would come back to their nest every morning to greet me. Would also find them on occasion while up in a bucket truck working on a cable enclosure....just like Ric....the parents would carry the young to a different location.
I could imagine that putting someone in full FREAK OUT! Lmao
I will also add them lil bastards are like Mach 3 fast! I’ve gotten them on video moving up and down trees at night and their huge glowing eyes are just a blur of bright streaks of light until the stop.
I use to have a trail cam video of one flying right at the cam, had to land on or just above it. Really neat little guys
