Ok so I am just curious how you would handle this situation.

I am traveling for work this week, go figure! I am at the gym today doing an hour of cardio to try to sweat out this cold Ive been fighting. I am nearing the end of my workout, and I have an Arabic guy get on treadmill next to me. As I am powering through the last 20 minutes of my workout I hear him talking on the phone (in arabic) the entire time. I keep telling myself not to say anything but I just couldn't hold my tongue.

I finished my workout and tapped him on the shoulder, " I just gotta tell you, what you are doing, talking on the phone is very RUDE, you need to do it in the lobby"

My question to you all, do you think that was rude of me? Would you have said something to him? What are your thoughts about cell phones at the gym?
 
As bad as i hate it man its hardly any different than a bunch of under dressed women in full make up and a gallon of perfume walking at about .5 on the treadmill talking and laughing. It all makes me rage about the same. Or that one douche with obnoxiously loud ear buds with one in and one out listening to little Wayne while he is propped up talking to the loud women on the treadmills.
 
Ear buds. Problem fixed. My bitch was always the dude who work out like turtles. Do a set. Spend 5 minutes on the phone. Talk for 5. Drink their shake. Take a selfie, then do a set. I'm not powerhouse, but I do work and get the hell out. I'd do more in 1 hour than most guys did in a week. Either workout or get out of the damn way!

Oo I had ear buds in at full volume. He was talking via his ear buds hooked into his phone so almost like speaker phone. He was on the treadmill next to me.

There's a ton of gym petpeeves but I just feel like sometimes it is worth saying something. Maybe I was in the wrong but when my phone rings I take call in lobby like signs say too. Shouldn't he as well?
 
You were not wrong. I would've done the same only I wouldn't of waited. Look at the good side, you got through the last twenty minutes with extra motivation.
 
Phones are not for the gym unless you're listening to music. Workout or go home. Period. Ear buds and cranked death metal drowned out almost everything.

I am more of a Chris Stapleton radio guy but I agree. Gotta crank it!
 
lol who the hell talks on the phone at the gym, I get agitated when I see someone flipping thru IG or FB when I'm waiting for their seat.

If I could hear him over my ear buds I definitely would have said something too.

Also friend I would be particularly cautious of this guy. Seems fishy that he would pay to go to a gym to walk on a treadmill. I have NEVER been in a Ramada inn that didn't have a treadmill.

Sounds like a second generation raghead. Wants to be a strong arming womanizer, but wants an American woman. Grabbing them by their hair (or burka) and dragging them out the door doesn't work in this country.
 
I see it all the time, lol. Anytime somebody want to talk on phone next to me or they dance like a Michael Jackson on cocaine....I turn my hearing aides off. :smiley_clap:
