Next time try having candied sweet taters on the side and mash them up and smother with that delicious gravy of yours and give that a try....my gut says you’ll LOVE IT!

Good enough gravy will make shoe leather taste good haha.

Smoked a little over 20lbs of boston butt all night coated with a pork rub i blend here at my house. Excellent bark on the butts and i put my helper to work on sauce duty. She whipped us up a small batch of my sweet heat sauce to go with. Brined some wings and threw them on the smoker this afternoon. My wife cooked us some baked beans and cole slaw to polish off the meal. Great way to spend a sloppy humid saturday.

Took the wife out for our anniversary dinner. We had an appetizer of crab cakes, crab stuffed mushrooms and shrimp. Main course was prime rib with loaded baked potato.

We have been together since 1985, married since 93, 26 years. Got me a good one fellas.

Actually our anniversary is on New Year’s Eve. I was at the camp and she called and said don’t worry about coming home for our anniversary, I know the rut is on and we can do something when you get back. So we went out to eat then I bought her a sound bar and woofer for the tv in the den.

Beef tenderloin on the grill for lunch. Wife sauteed up some asparagus and mushrooms with a baked potato to go with. Felt good grilling in the warm sunshine today.
