Homemade bean/ham soup. Gonna be perfect for this arctic blast we’ll be getting over the next few days.
I'm declaring that is officially soup season. 
I made stock today with beef bones for vegetable beef soup tomorrow. Soup is good food.

Wife made meatball soup. We’ll be grazing on that this week….
Pork rind panko shake-n-bake pork chops and cheesy bacon broccoli casserole.

Last Friday nights Longhorn celebratory steak dinner, medium rare and it was one of the best I’ve ever had.
Bookers 24-04 and Mick Ultra to wash it down. Very delicious meal and treat.
You can see two bottles of Bookers in upper left hand corner on the shelf and both “were” uncracked. I asked the manager and he obliged. $13/generous pour I thought was great price

Fish fry at work tonight. Fresh walleye and a couple perch from the last week put to good use. Took me longer than it should have to get my oil temp dialed it, but it turned out well.
Does it get any better than cold water flaky white flesh?
Blackened venison loin with red wine/soy sauce reduction, garlic Parmesan mashed turnips, green been casserole.

Cajun stew. Seafood gumbo for the cold that just went by, made a vat. So it keeps on coming. Put 3.5 gals up.

My wife's birthday is Saturday and she likes stuff like this, which I usually don't like. This is as clean a whole food chili as I could make. Green chicken chili using a 4H chicken, topping with avocado, cilantro lime cream, and a squirt of fresh lime to wake it up. No joke, this is an award winning chili. I've never made it and can improve on it, but damn is it good. I nailed the spice
