What's For Dinner?

My wife's birthday is Saturday and she likes stuff like this, which I usually don't like. This is as clean a whole food chili as I could make. Green chicken chili using a 4H chicken, topping with avocado, cilantro lime cream, and a squirt of fresh lime to wake it up. No joke, this is an award winning chili. I've never made it and can improve on it, but damn is it good. I nailed the spice 👌

Definitely looks good!

White wine braised squirrel (Ecureille au vin blanc) with au jus and caramelized onion and Sunchoke puree. I have to give a shout out to Mike for mentioning Sunchokes to me a while back. We planted some last spring. These are one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten. They are native, easy to grow, very prolific, easy to store for long periods and super nutritious. Did I mention they are absolutely scrumptious?

Fam favorite comfort food tonight.

Deer burger/hot pork sausage gravy smothered over toasted sourdough bread(in lieu of biscuits) with baked beans on side and chocolate milk. Baked a lemon Bundt cake using olive oil over vegetable oil and turned out great as well.
