Sunday brisket! It was absolutely wonderful. Bark held up good, internal fat rendered beautifully, and tenderness was on the money!
Made a stop at the Amish bakery today for a sandwich. Ruben is my go to. The sexy Amish babe asked me if I wanted to try it on a pretzel bun. I completely mistook what she meant, but it was a real change for the Ruben! Wow was it better. I didn't know you could make a Ruben better!!! She did.

Cooked fried bass and catfish w sweet tator fries. Sorry no pic I cook for an army.

That steak searing in that cast iron skillet has my stomach growling!
Inner tenders with a trip through the cuber. Marinated w/tenderizer and seasoning for 3 days in fridge. 3 minutes each side on the grill...
Cut them with a fork.
Fried deer bologna sandwiches for a early lunch!

I was a real housewife today. Grocery shopped (hence the Faygo 
), did the dishes, laundry, vacuumed, baked a dozen cookies and really outdid myself with dinner. Button buck strap, marinated in Worcestershire, teriyaki, red wine vinegar and some garlic for a few hours. Caramelized the onions prior to throwing the strap in the cast. 2 min on all 4 sides. Turned out phenomenal.

I forgot to take a dang photo! , made fresh backstrap fajitas and Caesar salad tonight
Meatloaf and mashed potatoes when I arrived home. 
Country pork ribs last night. Forgot to post em 
Had a bowl of seasoned croutons shredded parmesan cheese topped with creamy caesar....thats the best i could come up with in a pinch.

The beautiful thing about gumbo, is you can put anything in it. The old timers would pull any pieces of meat out of the freezer to make it. To me tho, it’s not gumbo without okra. Filet gumbo is great also.
