I spoke to a man today about a puppy that I was interested in, but was told that she was only "pet quality" and therefore he could not sell her to me with breeding rights.
I thanked him and went on. Lo and behold, his wife emails me and tells me that for several hundred more dollars, I can have full registration with full breeding rights.
This was my reply:
I'm sorry I do not do business that way. Either a pup is possible breeding quality or not. Raising the price doesn't miraculously change her genetics from pet to breeding status. Thanks, anyway.
