What's good TOO?

Basement finishing project starts today! My BIL will be starting to frame things in today, wood and drywall were delivered last week. Can't wait to see how it turns out. This will about another 1500 sq ft. to the house, including a full bath, wet bar, training room, and theater room.

Sounds like a sweet upgrade Scott! Take some pics. I was thinking of having Joe had a "Home Improvements" section somewhere for projects like this. I have 2-3 big projects to get done this year and will definitely need a place to ask questions! I'm fairly handy, but I'm no Tim the Toolman!!!

Here is one I just finished last week.

Very nice Charles! Very nice. What would a basement say, around 2000 sq.ft. cost to do. Ours has 9 foot ceilings and I want a stone veneered FP with a wrap around ledge to set my shed collection. Nothing is drawn up yet but just wondering. Got alot of stuff in our basement that needs hauled or thrown away before anything is done first but I'd like to have a mancave down there for all my wall decorations.

Officially on CHRISTMAS BREAK..that means no school till January 3rd (maybe 2nd, heck idk..) I plan on taking another doe (hopefully on camera) and go after some bunnies with the rabbit dog, when I dont have basketball that is.

:pickle:

Stay outta trouble young'un!!!

Adverted a potentially disastrous situation tonight with a landowner threatening to call the Sheriff and effectively costing us over a half million big ones. Caught a break in the yelling and busted a joke that made him laugh. Within 10 minutes, I hand wrote a check for pennies in comparison and he signed our release letter. Good day in the patch. Tomorrow I get to ride my four wheeler around all day and check out the pipeline route. I'll snap a few pics. It's any wonder people let us do what we do...

Deer burger! That is TOO good! I packaged my backstraps from the weekend doe I took and ground the rest of it into burger. One chunk of backstraps and the loins have been marinating since last night. Can't wait to grill them up tomorrow and cut them apart with a fork so they can melt in my mouth. Kind of nice to feel like I have enough meat in the freezer to get me through the season. If I am able to tag a buck I will be giving it to my foreman. He hasn't gotten one yet and I know it would go to good use.

Cooked dinner for my family tonight. Outside of beenie/weenies or grilling burgers, I think this is the first time I have ever made a full meal for my family. I just hope my wife doesn't get used to it. Generally when I cook it is "You guys want Cracker Barrel or some pizza or something?" lol

What is TOO good? My wife. For me to say this is the first meal I have ever done says a lot about what a wonderful wife I had. I won't lie though, she did spend about 2-3min in the kitchen pointing out a few things. Probably a good thing too. haha

I know you are teasing, but really I don't need anything for Christmas bubba. I have everything I want. Good wife, healthy kids, and secure workload. Anything else is just a bonus.

My meal: Inner loins, and about 1/4 of the backstraps from my young doe last weekend marinated in Italian dressing for about 36hrs. Corn my wife had canned with an amazing recipe which I really just had to defrost. French cut green beans with some butter and brown sugar melted in there. Pilsbury rolls in the oven. Turned out pretty well, but let's face it, I don't think you have to be a culinary genious to defrost corn, heat up green beans, and put your marinated loins/straps on the George Foreman grill. lol

Dude George Foreman? Cooking is fine, don't get me wrong. Grilling deer is wonderful. But backstraps on a George Foreman?

Let me look for my "Give me your mancard" picture...geesh

Phil, I give a you an "A" for the solid attempt. All else was too easy. Sure, the food would be highly edible for a college kid such as Huck. He'll probably eat anything cooked or not.

Now, real man cooking could accomodate that whole menu on the BBQ grill (even your muffins). Try it next time and you'll be amazed of the quality and taste. Plus you get to get to stand around and drink beer while grilling up the viddles.

Looks like Badger and I better do the TOO cooking if we are ever needed.

Thanks Ben. I can take Huck's abuse. For a first attempt, I won't complain. Don't get me wrong, I am capable of grilling as it is usually my responsibility when momma is cooking the rest of the stuff. My big thing here is I made an effort and took the reigns beginning to end. FWIW, I was pleasantly surprised this afternoon and that is TOO good too! lol

Got my iPhone 4S in the mail yesterday and wrapped it in a purdy Realtree AP and blaze orange Otterbox. Working on teaching Siri how to understand a southern Ohio Redneck now!!! LOL!!!

I'm not an apple fan and will be going towards Android/Blackberry this spring, but the Siri thing is sweet! My buddy has one of those and we spent an hour at the bar trying to get it to understand drunk...

4 chainsaws, 2 spare bars, and 10 spare chains are oiled, sharpened, fueled, have clean air filters, and are ready for action. Spent several hours getting them ready, but it will be well worth it when I am cutting wood this winter. Nothing more frustrating than grabbing a chainsaw and finding out your employees used them, dulled the chains, stuffed them back on the shelf in need of attention when you are ready to work. It sort of sucks the motivation out of you. Now if the daggone ground would freeze up I would be happier. Thankfully I have enough wood on high ground to get me and my parents through the winter. I just need to work on next year's load so it can start to season.
