What's good TOO?

Well my trapping, fishing, ball scratching, hunting, and everything else is gonna be done for a while. We are closing on a house next Wednesday. Structure is great. Brick home. Inside needs updated. Some non load bearing nterior walls coming down to "open" it up. Two bathroom remodel. All new flooring and paint. My FIL is like a crackhead ready to get in it. My dad is ready to work on it too but he's currently working 6 10's in Chicago so I don't want to bother him at all on it. The property has an additional finished brick 40x60 garage and a 27x30 pole barn in the pasture. Total is 5 acres plus an inground pool. We decided it was a place we could live the rest of our lives so we went for it.

Plus with the baby girl coming in May I'm gonna be busting ass every evening after work and weekends getting this place ready for her. Wish me luck TOOzer's in this endeavor. They say what doesnt' kill you will only make you stronger.

:smiley_clap:

Congrats man! Sounds like you have a ton of work on your hands, but I'm sure it will be rewarding. Good luck with all that is to come in 2012!!!

Did I hear 2 out buildings? Who cares what the house looks like? Kidding man. That is awesome! Great time to buy right now if you are in position to do so. Congratulations!

No doubt man and with having a girl you better watch them boys that come over to swim:smiley_coolpeace:

Just made reservations at our favorite restaurant so my parents can take us out to eat for Tracie's birthday. They have never eaten here and I think they'll love it, so it should be a good time. We took them to another favorite eatery earlier this year and we had a great time. My parents never really went out on the town together, so we have been trying to get them to get out more and enjoy the social scene around here. If you are ever in Marietta, check out the Galley for dinner and drinks. It is one of the few establishments around here that could survive in a metropolitan area...

Momma just got some new wheels! Family needs change. Vehicle needs change. Third row seat, 4x4, and rides like a dream!

Congrats Twireman on your new house and property! Sounds like a lot of work but it will be very rewarding when you finish.

Jesse, we had our 30 year class reunion at The Gallery in 2010 and it was the shit when it comes to atmosphere, food and music! The band was somewhat local named, The Fossils, and they were great. I recommend anyone in the Marietta area to check it out!

My 7 year old son, Garrett had a basketball game this morning. Stole a pass, close to stealing 2, blocked 1 shot, made a basket and nearly missed a second. I am proud. At this age level, there isn't a ton of structure, but it has been great to watch the improvement from beginning of the season to now. Attaboy Garrett!:smiley_basketball:

I pulled out the camera this weekend (I know big surprise) and was taking pics of some decoys to sell. My daughter says "let's leave 'em out Daddy and hunt some geese today." I agree, grab a goose call, and we sit down on the deck to watch for birds flying by. After a few minutes I go inside to get us some drinks, and while I'm at the sink I can hear honks. I run over to the back door and watch as the birds are flying by, coming from the north, and heading south to land in a pond at the backside of our development. I stopped short of opening the door though, because I had a camera near by, and couldn't pass up these pictures...

Just some off season pretend goose hunting...
