Well was in a treestand for 5 hours today felt really good too watch the sun wake the woods up it's been way too long for that.... Been on the boat at daybreak plenty of times this year but nothing like a treestand..... Came home ate a little something checked in on all my TOO brothers and went out for a 3 mile jog (slow and steady) cooling down while I type this and then off too the shower and back in the stand for the eveing hunt.... Hopefully with better results :smiley_coolpeace:

Hope y'alls evening is better than your morning.....

Heck yeah J! Sounds like a productive day. Relaxation, work out, lunch, shower, relaxation. Good stuff!

Working on my invoicing for the big landscape job we did last week. TOO freaking GOOD! Watched my daughter's two volleyball games, gave Geoffrey a haircut, meeting a guy to sell a buddy stand shortly, shooting the bow after, then off on a date with my wife! Hunting in the morning. Good stuff!

Went in early this morning and worked through lunch so I could leave at 4 tonight and that is always a good thing! My mom got the carpet shampoo'd in the baby's room, so I can commence to taping, patching, and primer tomorrow night. With some luck, I can have the ceiling and walls painted, baby furniture assembled, and decal on the wall. There will be some minor stuff to do at that point, but I'd be ready to bring a kid home and have no other major tasks on my hands until then! That's TOO good!!!

With a shit pot full of stuff to do in the next 4 days, I decided to work hard while letting the carpet dry. lmao

For you Crocs haters, stick it! Them there are just as useful as a good pair of boots!!! Rednecks like simple things and Crocs fit that mantra!!! :smiley_clap:

TOO good?

I hunted yesterday morning. My son got home from school around 4. I had been changed out of my hunting gear since around 1030am. My son gave me a hug, took a big sniff, and looked up at me and smiled. Then he said "I love the smell of winter." I said, "It isn't winter, it is only fall. Why do you think it smells like winter?" Garrett said, " You smell like smoke daddy. I love that smell."

Not only this, but he also has been buggin' to go hunting with me. He is 8 now. I feel he is ready. Probably won't hunt this year, but he is most definitely hitting the woods with me. He is loving his Lil' Bear recurve. I will allow him to continue shooting his stick and string as much as he wants to. Good stuff!

Scored huge tonight. At first I was kinda bummed because I had planned on a little stand time after work, but ended up getting a extra call. The call was for an elderly widow, obvious there was a bunch of stuff that was her husbands that she didn't use anymore. So I asked her about a air compressor that was in her garage and if she would be interested in selling it. She said I could have it because there was something wrong with it and it didn't work. I gave her a large thank you and proceeded to load the compressor into my van.

Got it to the shop and started fiddling with it to try and figure out what wasn't working. It turns out the switch box it was wires to must have been broke because once I got electric hooked up to it, it fired right up and purred like a kitten. Nothing like a free 60 gallon 5 hp upright compressor.
