What's good TOO?

What's good today? My wife gets her new Honda Pilot EX-L this evening. Loaded everything with leather interior.
This thing is built like a space ship with all the electronics and safety equipment.
A $ 40K sticker price is little steep for this vehicle but a happy wife is a happy husband.
She and the kids have now graduated from our Honda CRV.
It's off to its first adventure tomorrow....swim lessons and soccer practice. As it should.........

Thanks guys. Needless to say I'm getting fired up even more now.

That is some awesome news Don. I have learned over the past couple years that almost every time a property is lost it is just the door closing so that another one can open. Lost a property last year that was 86 acres that I had hunted for 16 years. Needless to say I was bummed. About 2 months ago got permission on 555 acres about a mile away from that other property as the crow flies. Funny how things work out.

Glad to hear Mrs Buckmaster will be happy. I often wonder if the highlighted part really exists though. Can you ever truly make them happy? lol

Scored myself a bush hog today. Great deal. Gonna sharpen them blades and give her a work out tomorrow.

Nice work Gordo!

Had my cousin come over tonight and work on the wife's Envoy. After dumping over $2K to fix an oddity of a brake issue, I was worried we had serious engine trouble. We changed an ignition coil, all the plugs and boots, then she ran like a top. $138 in parts, $50 and a 12'er of Yuengling for his help and we're back on the road. Sucks to put more money in it, but happy that's all it was!

Indeed.....I had an new Equinox once. After the first year the tailgate rusted so GM repainted it.
After that we switched to Honda. Bought a CRV, then another CRV, and now a Pilot.
My daily driver is a Civic.....so our purchasing decisions have changed based on a one year old rusted out GM tailgate.

I mentioned earlier about getting a new piece of property to hunt this year. I am gonna try to get some cameras out in the near future but a lot going on right now. I talked about my buddies brother hunting it last year and here is a trail pic of one he let go and then wished he had taken the shot after seeing him up close. Oh boy oh boy oh boy!

Definately would be a hard one to pass Don, but good for you that he did! hopefully he is still around this year

He must have known something in order to pass on that deer. Sounds like there are several other bohemoths in there!

Heck yeah Don! He should be a hoss this year!

Well, my neighbor and I finally got my shocks and struts replaced. Dang that was a frustrating long ordeal due to rust and stubborn connections with nuts and bolts! Geesh! Glad I did it myself with his help of course because I learned something I knew nothing about. The ole truck rides like Joes caddy now!

You never notice how fast they wear out until you replace them with new ones.

Nothing beats new shocks and tires at the same time.

I'm at the end of my present tires life right now(50,000+) and was prepared to have Tire Discounters install a new set of BF Goodrich AT's but they didn't have any on hand and wouldn't get them till Friday...forget that, I'm headed to Woodbury then! Lol

I'll prolly get them next week sometime....:pickle:.........$1170.00 with tax...dang:smiley_blackeye:

Been a long drawn out process. Has taken several months. Tomorrow we close on the rental property we made an offer on several months ago. Going to feel good to complete this transaction. Rental number 3 on the books. Pre-2008 this house would have been in the $55-65k range. $50k minimum. Purchased for $35k. Painting and recarpeting 2/3 bedrooms and it is ready to rent. Should produce a strong cash flow and enable us to pay it off early. With any luck the market continues to rebound and we get an additional bonus in the form of appreciation.

Top it off with the fact I am borrowing my Dad's Kawasaki Concours for a couple days. It has been way TOO long since I have had my old Norton Commando out of the garage. Felt pretty darn good to eat some bugs tonight with my binoculars harnessed to my shoulders. Great way to deer scout! What a beautiful night it was to ride.

Got to have lunch with Mr. Finelyshedded today and that was a real treat for me. too bad i had to go back to work..

I am jealous. Govt redtape screwed up my day. Lunch with Finelyshedded sounds better. Glad you fellas enjoyed yourselves.
