Home from an eleven day jaunt. Drove two days to Badlands, Mt Rushmore, and Wall, SD. Spent a day there. Drove another day to Cooke City, MT. Spent a few days in Yellowstone, and then a day in the Grand Tetons. Just got home from 3 days driving home. Was great to get away. This year has been brutal for our country and our mental well being. We hit some of God's greatest master pieces and avoided people. Good to be home.

Yep. Lots of use since purchasing. Steaks tonight, then I put on a 12.5# pork shoulder that's been vac sealed for 48 hours in a Mexican style marinade. My sister is hosting dinner tomorrow and I'm doing the protien. We both agreed there's nothing more American than tacos, so we're doing a full on Mexican themed birthday party for America tomorrow. After all, tacos are as American as cheeseburgers. (Read the book Taco USA and you'll understand. Tacos are a "gringo" thing.)

Cooke City, MT is awesome, did you go the general store and meet the unofficial mayor? I would love to leave there it is so cool, so much public land, awesome place.

I stopped in for a bag of ice. Did not realize their "Mayor" was there. Our cabins were for sale. 5 cabins for sale by owner. Asking $550k. Dig up some of the moldy stuff while you may still have a mini excavator sitting around from the new house build. lol

Hanging out enjoying some cold ones with the wife and kids and their spouses. Listening too the various fireworks going off. Note too self, cut down a bunch of trees so I can see next years fireworks displays [emoji23]

We did the same but just me and the battle axe lol. I said the same thing about the trees. I’m over it, inside watching tv instead of feeding skeeters.

Another day of baseball for Allen. One win down and now the championship game.
Second place is where they ended. His regular team is starting tourneys this coming weekend so he will definitely be getting more baseball. They had originally canceled the season so we went to the team he had been playing for the last several weeks just to keep him going. Coach had a change of heart and decided tournaments were a good way to get some games in which is a relief as Allen sure has a good time with those boys and coaches.

Wins or losses. At this point, who cares? Glad he is getting some playing time with his buddies. Let the kids be freaking kids. Play ball!
