Have fun Mike and Jesse. Like the TOO gear Mike. I was rocking the black tee at the Cleveland Zoo with the family today. Pulling the white one out for the Geauga Co. fair Monday. Saw some good suburban bucks tonight. Got a pic of a big 10 with velvet hanging off his right side and a bloody :)

About a month ago I bought a 2000 S10 for 500.00 rebuilt the starter put a battery in it and a radiator tune up and shocks all the way around.... put rear brake lines on it and fixed some nickel dime stuff.... got about a grand in it all together including the purchase.... have been offered 3K for it by a few people.... but it gets 30 MPG and my Z71 gets 17 MPG so I think I'll keep it for a second work vehicle and drive it in good weather and the Z71 in shitty weather.... went from 100.00 a week in fuel too 40.00.... oh and the insurance is 53.00 a half lol....

High temp of 61 today. Boy does it feel like a great fall hunting day out there today and I'm pumped up and ready to hit the deer woods. That's what's good :smiley_clap:

Spent 8 hours in the rain today at the farm. I'm flat ass wore out and plain old miserable right now. But with that, goes the satisfaction of being done hanging sets and brushing in blinds. I have a couple hours work to do at my parents tomorrow, but I'm done for the most part. I hung two awesome stands today that turned out way better than expected. I also set a new ground blind that also turned out better than I thought it would. All in all, I have all kinds of options this year and I sure hope it pays off! I definitely earned it today!!!

Moved a stand with moundhill and dad. Looks pretty promising. On the way out dad gave us a short lesson on finding ginseng. Learned quite a bit.

Got my first turkey pictures on one property I hunt. Had a feeling they had finally made their way over there, but had not had any proof prior to today. Pretty cool even though I don't hunt them.

Been able to get my boy out twice squirrel hunting. Between the crappy weather and me working a ton of overtime since Thursday we were able to go 1 hour before school Thursday and yesterday am in the rain and wind. The boy has got it bad, even worse than I believe I did as a youngster. That is all he talks about and now the wife has to listen to 2 of us now, lol. I love it! Definitely a lil lung buster in the making ready to take over the freezer filling duties. Life is good!

I took my son squirrel hunting on Saturday by his request. Keep in mind he's 3. We had 3 sets in 90 degree heat plus mosquitos. I saw one squirrel and heard another barking in an hour and a half. He did very good sitting still and keeping quiet. No shots. We went bluegill fishing afterward and caught a couple dozen. He cried when I told him we were done fishing.

I guess he likes fishing better than hunting. It's all Good.

Those last TOO were good, gotta love spending time afield with your dad. Though dad took me deer hunting, he hasn't for the last 5 years or so. I've begun my yearly campaign of trying to get him to go this year...we'll see. I think it will have to be "Dad, I hunted all week, there's deer by my stand, sit Monday morning of gun season, take my muzzleloader, and pop one!" He's still my #1 fan though and we enjoy talking about it a lot. The other night we sat up talking (almost like Christmas eve) and then it was just my dad and brother talking guns and I got to hear a few stories of deer camp when Dad hunted...priceless

What's good, finishing up work here in about 20 minutes, then heading change and head towards Cabelas. Got a big fat OT check burning a hole in my pocket!
