What's good TOO?

After a long and rough weekend out of town working a show, I was completely exhausted. Trying to stay awake to read with the kids and put them to bed, my daughter takes off. I hear a spoon working a cup and she comes back in with a cup of coffee. Her reply "Two sugars Daddy. Just the way you like it! I thought you could use it."

Just about bring a tear to a man's eye. I am so blessed. Money cannot buy the most important things in life. What a thoughtful little angel I have!

That's funny Phil, yesterday morning my daughter and I were out fishing....she went back into the house and said she had to go get a snack.....she comes back out with a root beer for her and a Killian's Red for me! It was only about 9 in the morning, LOL!

I said, what do you think I am, a hillbilly? It's not even lunch time yet and she is trying to give me a beer.

She said yes.

So did she take the cap off for you too? LOL too funny man. I do love Killians!

I would hardly consider you a hillbilly. Maybe a Redneck, but not a hillbilly. My daughter has called me a hillbilly before too? Wonder where they get this stuff? lol

Good stuff Chad. Family sure can help brighten your day. Not sure what attitude I would have had this morning if not for her kind gestures last night. The Ft Wayne show was a major bust for me. Sales were low. Covered my employee's payroll and that was it. Pretty sad considering I sent him back to Ohio at noon on Saturday. I made enough to cover 4 hours payroll. Ate all fuel, booth, and food expenses. Sat there for my health. Thank the Lord for the warm welcome I received from my kids last night!

... Sam Adams requires a bottle opener while Killians is twist off.

I learned that the hard way once. I was stuck in a hotel room with a 6 pack of Sam Adams and no bottle opener. How does one open a bottle, or six?

"....with the side rails of the slide out dresser drawer." I improvised and still quenched my thirst.

It's amazing how many things you can "McGyver" to get a bottle of beer open, huh?

A truck bumper will work in a pinch also.

That's surprising Phil, usually Fort wayne is a busy place.....they were having the Johnny Appleseed festival this weekend and that is always packed. Probably what screwed you this weekend I'm guessing.

You never know what seeds might have been planted by being there....may not have been a complete bust.

I've used a lot of different things to open up bottles... Screwdriver, lighter, butterknife, a small log from a nearby firepit... etc. If you can get leverage with it, it'll open a bottle. :) BTW, it's Sam Adams Octoberfest season. :)

I second that one. Sam Adams has some good beer.
My wife just picked up some Dogfish Head "Punkin Ale" that is a pretty good fall brew. We tried it last year at the Winking Lizard and they rimmed the glass with brown sugar. Good stuff.

Not sure how I've missed this thread. What's good? Well not today but come Saturday I will get to hunt opening day for the first time in a long time. I don't even care if I don't see a deer. I WILL BE OUT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Grandpa! Whats fer dinner?

I fried up a slew of squirrels that my father-in-law has killed over the past 2 years(12 or so) all with a 22 rifle. I rolled them in flour and fried them in butter with lawrys and black pepper. Baked some yams and bisquits and served them smothered in squirrel gravy! YUM YUM Sorry, I used to watch HeeHaw back in my hayday!lol

Picked up some arrows at Milos Archery Shop the other day and got them all done up with my daughter this evening. That's good!
