Traffic is averaging about 160 members logging in per day and around 250 posts per day. Welcome to the end of deer season lull where people have talked hunting to death for a moment. Traffic peaks in November and slumps off after gun season until right before turkey season. Not surprising that a site centered around deer hunting will have peak visitors during deer season. And after deer season that non-hunting topics being at the forefront. How often do you visit turbotax online after tax season? . Like any site we have core year round members, and others who only show up for deer season, some only show up to post a buck and brag, some take one look at you fuckers and run for the hills never to be seen again.

As for competition I keep a very close eye on stats. Man if you think traffic is slow now. Over the entirety of deer season (sept 17 - Now) our closest competitor only had 6,606 posts total, compared to our 26,548 posts.

You're experiencing post deer season letdown. Coming down off that high. It'll be ok man, turkey season is right around the corner.

Just for giggles I went and looked at just today so far

14 threads with new posts today. (Not counting this one)

8 are hunting, fishing or shooting related
3 asking for opinions on gear (Camper, Tractor, and an Ice chest)
3 are staples that have been around for 8+ years (Nothing thread, Morning Geezer, weight loss)

It’s normal, sure. But it’s a shame more folks don’t tell about what they are doing outdoors aside from deer. Jamie has a great thread rolling about hunting the lowly squirrel, and I read every post. Gern is murdering coyotes, JohnR has piled em up too. I’d love to read up on their adventures. I’m sure I’d learn a thing or two. Just an example...
There are an awful lot of things this group does outdoors. I’d enjoy reading all of it! Deer are not the only thing to enjoy.

He must be enjoying his new lathe and burning the candle on both ends grinding out calls... And shed season comming up... We know Ric and Ron will be wearing out their boots soon with sheds... Maybe they'll have an Iowa excursion again... So I guess we are ok...

Hey Brock... You and Mason have the best thread going about your adventures... I enjoy reading them every day... Not much going on here on the East Coast for me to write about... Soon I should be heading to Illinois shed hunting... Also think RedCloud and Rick may come out in the fall for bears if we have a season... So Ill get a bear thread going soon after I get some cams out in March... Right now Im just working on a new room for some of my mounts etc... Gotta get something together to compete with Sgt. FURY...

Soon, someone will start a shed thread...then later a turkey thread. Ice fishing threads are sprinkled in there also. Everything will be alright.
