In mrs Allen's 2nd grade class. I remember it like it was yesterday. We didnt do any learning the rest of the day. Just watched. We were too young at the time to really know what was going on. But ill never forget that day.

I was at work listening to the country music station while keying mail and heard the initial news break which never went away or back to playing music most of the day. When I was done keying I came down to join the rest of my co-workers on the main floor along with upper management and supervisors watching the aftermath and recovery efforts before during and after the buildings collapsed. My heart was heavy and we all stood in disbelief as it was happening before our eyes! I remember can't getting it out of my mind for several days to weeks....

I cried when AJ sang his newly written song on national TV during a CMA awards show. He is truly a gifted writer!

I was working, we had just finished truck checks and having coffee when one of the guys came out to the bay to tell us. We all stayed glued to the tv the rest of the shift.

By 1800 on 9/11 we had 12 C-130's and our Commander and Chiefs beck and call, one week later we had numerous airframes at a northwest coast air base with a large number of army special forces all sitting on lock down in case of any follow up attacks.... That was 30 days that felt like 90..... I felt sorry for the grunts as we were in billets and they in a hanger on cots..... Every 3-4 days we ran excercises too get airborne..... Just waiting for the call that never came.... Thank God....

I was working. Building the new administration building at wooster college. There was a little pub / diner just up the street from the site. We heard about what was happening and went up there to see it on the TV. Spent the rest of the day there.
