I will bite for conversation.

This is why toyota is getting popular. People are paying up to buy toyota products now for the reliability and they also dropped the ball with recalls and engine failures. Time will only tell how this latest truck holds up.

But yes, certain era trucks are just built right. They are not comparable with today's trucks tho.

Toyotas problem started when they abandoned the Gen 2.5 platform…. Trying to hang with the big 3 and their BS 4&6 bangers with turbos. I don’t plan on ever driving anything with a turbo mounted on a 4 or 6 banger. And I loved my F-150 with the 300 6cyl.

And that is all from government mandates for mpg. The makers have zero chance to make it.
