Which one could be him?

To me, the 9 from this year looks most like #2, but number 2 looks like #3 to me without the velvet. To me, the most telling characteristic is the shorter brow tine on his left beam, and the shape of the frame in general.

We watched a buck that was 130 as a 2 year old with great interest. He was killed as a 5 yr old, just a shade over 130. He was similar to this deer, high and tight. His body grew, his rack never really did. Btw, that deer was a homebody for most of his life, until his 4 fall. He disappeared for a year, showed back up and was shot two or three weeks later. No question it was the same deer. There were thousands of pics of him due to his love of corn and protein pellets.

This is the deer I mentioned above. The only thing that changed by giving him extra years was the degree of difficulty in dragging him. He gained body size, but kept the same rack over those years. Maybe the one you have pictured isn't that way, but they don't all "blow-out" regardless how much time you give them.

Mike, how well do you know this deer? Any chance he might only be 2? He may be nothing like the deer I posted. If he's 2, that dude could really blow up. That's the problem with deer, you just never know. :)

I don't know much other than I had him on camera all of August last year and never seen him during the season other than a pic here or there in November. These pics this year are the first evidence of him still alive. I figured he wandered off and got whacked.
