Whiskey barrel pedestal mount.

I found a good spot to hang a few of my turkey beards. I think they look good there. The two in the middle with the plastic caps are my recurve kills. Never did give scores on those 3 bucks but the one on the right is a 175 gross 9 point his right g2 is 15 inches left is 14.The droptine buck in the middle is 180 gross and the buck on the left is 164 gross. The double throat patch is a very cool added bonus on a great buck!

I'm not 100% done with it, but it's functional and is what I'd hoped it would be. All 3 of these bucks were killed here where I live. The bottom buck is from 2012. I killed him while Tracie was at Kaydence's baby shower after 2 encounters with him prior to that evening. Scored 139" gross, was aged at 5.5 and dressed at 215. Middle buck is my first mature buck and the first deer I ever captured on trail cam. Grosses 136", was 6.5 and dressed 205. The buck on the top I killed in 2008 and scores 110" with 41" of mass and every tine has some portion broken off. He was aged at 6.5 as well. I killed him less than 5 minutes after settling in for the afternoon. I need one more buck off our farm to build a complementary barrel with my 2019 and 2021 bucks. Hopefully it doesn't take another 15 years! 🤣

I can finally finish my second barrel, which will compliment this one, which is all deer from behind the house. I picked up my 2021 and 2023 bucks off the farm tonight, so they'll join my 2018 buck to give me a barrel of deer from The Farm w. No Name. I have 3 really good euro mounts to go in between them. My trophy collection at 42 isn't what I thought it'd be when I was 22 setting goals and expectations for myself, but with 1,200" of antler on the way from two properties, 11 and 80 acres respectively, in a highly pressured county, I've come to accept the fact that those early expectations were probably unrealistic and in reality, it's been a good run since killing the first big one in 2004. The next one will need to be unique/special, or break 150, so it may be a while before I go back to the taxidermist!

Thanks, brother. What's striking is to see the two mounts next to one another. My '21 buck was 5.5 and killed peak body weight. The '23 buck was 3.5 and killed in mid-December. I have them sitting on the floor, and it's like Shaq standing next to Kevin Hart :ROFLMAO: They're both full-grown men of the same species, but they ain't the same! It reminded me of the pic from when I dropped him off at the processor. Deer on the left was also 5.5 and went 186". My buck had a 30.5 neck, and my taxi said it's the largest form he's ordered for a deer in 15+ years. I may kill bigger deer score-wise, but I may never kill a bigger-bodied deer. He was truly an outlier when it came to his body.
