Why are these bucks hanging out together?

A few years back when I had tagged out I was a driver at our Camp on a Sunday afternoon. Mind you it was gun season all week prior.

Going into the thicket without a firearm, 5 bucks ran right up to me within 15 yards, 3 of the 5 were 130"-150", the other 2 scrubs.

I tried to hide from them by laying on the ground but I ended up getting busted and they ran the opposite way I wanted to steer them.

There's safety in numbers so that's probably why they try to stick together. Best multiple buck sighting I've ever had.

I never really saw our bucks separated this year also

I see bucks together all the time this time of year and even later. It's not unusual.

I haven't seen two bucks running together since September.... All singles, but have seen two show up when some does showed up,but they didn't hang with each other....
