Welcome too my world, thank god for hardwood floors....
I'm thinking about taking the living room carpet out and work on the hardwood floors...you know take staples out, sand it down, and stain it

Lower maintenance and easier cleanup
I helped my dad do that at one of the house he bought to rent out. Cool learning experience for me since I've never done it before.

I did this whole house before we moved in. Rent the orbital sander and the edge sander for floors. Worth the price. Even still it's a ton of labor.
Yes, agreed. Dad told me how much it would have cost if the company was to do it for us, but I don't remember. We saved alot of money, though. Nothing better than doing it yourself. It was alot of fun drinking and bullshitting with dad, while he was taking staples out, and I was in a different room taking staples out as well. Alot of beer break, lmao. I would do it again. No sense of giving the company the money when you could do it for yourself.

Agreed. Lot of work. Makes a dusty mess of everything. Satisfying to see when you are done.
