Ohio
Just got a text from mom. They are enjoying themselves today, catching a few fish too. Thanks for the suggestion, Jim. She likes this gang a little better and apparently they have been shutting down the engines. :)

Sorry I missed this yesterday. Very glad to hear they had a better time out there. How did the boat end up for the day? Perch bite pick up a bit?

I didn't fish Ohio this year...[emoji53]
Next spring when your up to your family's visiting, we gotta hook up for a day on the Maumee. I will get you on fish. You can even take mine home with you. I have all the gear you would ever need as far as rods, reels, and lures. I might be able to locate some waders if you give me a heads up a few days in advance

I will take you up on that for sure! I haven't fished the mighty in probably 15 years... I usually go hit the Sandusky with very little success. I was gonna hit buttonwood the year it flooded out. I like that gravel bar...

If it's the one in the middle of the river that you wade across to, thats my favorite place on the whole river. Water level has to be around 581' or lower to safely access it. Doesnt matter what the water level is, we'll get on fish

Really starting to see what Joe was saying. Not many places left (not including Erie) that aren’t just overfished. Put that next to all the damn trash left by pig “fisherman” and I just can’t get motivated to go.

Been trying to convince myself if I buy a boat, it’d be different. That’s a lot of money for something I’m unsure about.

Depends on your budget and interests Dave. I have a buddy with an old 1967 18' Starcraft w/70hp he picked up for $900 last winter. He put a new floor in it cheap and has a damn nice boat that he fishes on Erie damn near every weekend, on top of being perfect for all the inland lakes Ohio has. Theres a ton of great fishing within an hour of you. As a matter of fact. We just seen a boat on Facebook that is just like his but with an open bow that the guy posted for $2,000 but said he'd take any good offer.
