That's a cool double beam buck! Hope to see him on your tailgate in a few months.

Thank you!

He's a buck that I had a close encounter with last gun season in my backyard while I was heading out for a hunt. I was walking down the path as he was coming up it. I stopped first and froze before he saw me, then he stopped within 15 yards as he began to wind me. I could've easily shot him right there, but I wish for him to grow a couple more years first for me, or hopefully a guest or family member might get lucky this season with him. We'll have to wait and see. I'll be more focused on a couple of others myself, or that's the way I'm leaning at the moment anyway. ,

I appreciate you, and best a luck to you this hunting season!

Sincerely,
Denny

Quick follow-up, then done for the day!

A group of young bucks. Work was being done in the surrounding area today, that is why I believe they're running a little late this evening.

First two deer captures from the new Tactacam XB just purchased and installed this afternoon at the beaver trees.

Description:

It's been on the prowl the past couple of days and there's a good chance that it got one of the fawns this morning. One of the same Bobcats where I've shared video clips and pix of over the past couple of years.

Description:

Caught the last few auditable moments of some of the young coyotes carrying on overnight within the immediate area. Typical behavior during moon lit nights this time of the year, and on through towards the end of the hunting season each year as well. I hunt coyotes and have managed to keep them at bay over the last few years for the most part. Most all of the adult coyotes are gone within the immediate area currently. I'll be hunting the latest generation in 2025.

I got some great wildlife pics putting a cam just at water line in a beaver dam looking upstream and if you can drop a tree trunk across the corner of the bank to the dam that worked well for me me to. Great pics and vids of @Wildlife ya got going 👍

6:15 AM, Tuesday, August 27, 2024:

Bucks last night are showing that they're still holding on to their velvet, and I gathered some more Bobcat captures from off trail cameras and created a new video clip.

Hope everyone is staying nice and cool during our latest heatwave.

Take it easy!

11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 28, 2024:

Only one velvet shed so far out of the bunch, but I believe the others will follow real soon. Perhaps during the next rain event, hopefully sometime today.
860322064525089-100-3-08282024001844-HD-SYEW2115.JPG

Another coyote pup TC capture, plus more within the video below, and you'll get to hear them howling while the beaver is hard at work.
864049055600201-100-3-08272024153134-HD-SYEW0048.JPG

Description:

Three [3] days and approximately 30 minutes worth of work, and this beaver downed another good-size Cottonwood tree. Evidence of their presence came about two years ago, but much further on down the creek. Now they have taken up residence right at the back of our property this year, and they're definitely contributing to some serious habitat changes within the immediate area, for the better too, imho. Hinge cutting for the bucks that they are.
I put this video together this morning showing one of them over the course of the past few days, showing one of them downing a tree that I discovered last Wednesday of the beginning of its handy work.

I hope you enjoy today's video, and thanks for watching!
