Today is what we live for! Allie and her Dad certainly did it right. Got a call about lost blood. Told them to leave the woods and they did. We waited over night. Maxx was not overly anxious at first. Took us about a 1/4 mi down a tractor path (but just wasn't locked-in). We restarted where the arrow had fallen out. Maxx took a left and started to pull real hard. Found a large pool of blood and Maxx was on a mission. Buck fell in a small ravine on his death plunge. Few seconds later, Maxx ripped his tail off! First female hunter find and her biggest buck yet.

Maxx is excited. (OK, it's ME that's excited!) If Kay's deer is down, Maxx gonna show us where!
We got work to do, but 'ol Maxx is a legend in these parts now!

On our way to win a basketball game to top off her day, but that deer went 550 yards as the crow flies with a hole through one lung, the liver and stomach, with what looked like small nicks on the heart and offside lung. Only bedded twice. Once at 100 and again around 450. And we 100% do not find that deer without Maxx and @xbowguy.

Congratulation to everyone involved! Kinda makes you wonder if coyotes or a dog pushed that deer out of its first bed at 100 yards?
