I always preferred wetter days or heavy dew mornings for training….
Yup! Hold that scent down and the nose wet.
A wet dog smells way worse than a dry dog. Whatever the dog is tracking is the same way.
For the best training it is. But once they get the hang of it, then you up the game with more difficulty….
Yard obedience training is a must initially though….
I'm with these guys. Basic obedience. Start the nose training as soon as possible. Just a pain because his belly will be dragging in the wet grass. Might as well get used to that one.

Wet and muddy equals a Weiner bath especially with their special double coats. Weiner's are hypoallergenic so they don’t give off dog odor like beagles do. During the summer mine can go 3-4 months without a bath. He is a house Weiner though.
