Well... looks like the first skerl wasn't a fluke. Maxx has figured out how to get them. Skerl runs to a tree and goes around the base "clockwise". Maxx hits the base "counter clockwise". Its a "close one" on several occasions. He strutted this one into the house to show Mom... she was happy to have it inside .

Grey Squirrel dumping humming bird feeders... caught him in a 110 Cobi-bear trap. Maxx rips trap off of post (2 zip ties) and there was a war on who gets skerl! Maxx ripped his tail off immediately... imagine that!

O'l Maxx Dawg still at it! No breaks around here... his precision has zero'd in an he is pumped to go.
Been 4 months since he had any blood on a track. (Only deer feet) Getting back to real deer tracks... his prey drive is gonna go turbo mode!
