Got ahold of Perry Co. Disabled Veterans. There is a hunt 20 minutes from my house. We offered to do any deer tracks possible. Let them know it would be nothing but our pleasure.
Today's track was AWESOME! Maxx is on fire! I took him down along the road to a busy intersection then angled towards the woods. Took him through 2 crabapple trees (knowing deer were there to distract) Then a double-back but he did not stray off the task. This heat and dryness does not hold much scent ~~ can't wait for rain!
Saw Max's sign on 37 heading into J-town the other day. Made me smile. Almost time to make some real blood trails.

HA! Track was 18 hrs old and this heat is brutal on a track. Maxx figured it all out, smashed his deer meat prize, got a drink of water.... and crashed under a ceiling fan.... he done!

Track went very well today. Maxx is definitely ready!
Squeezed our add into a few of our Local Market Places. Got a call from a construction company owner. He wanted to commend me for only taking donations. Said he could afford it, but many cannot and we should be proud to be helping people out in such a time of need... Gotta say that was an awesome call. And I never answer my phone ~~but now I know why I did on such a rare occasion. HIGH-FIVE! ✋️

So Maxx figured out how to get the chair all the way back. He can now see out front window to boost security detail...

Seen the rain was coming. Ran Maxx a track and let him run it 30 min later...

Maxx is on the board. Young man's first bow buck.
Second track canceled. Seen it laying 80 yds away while checking the arrow.
Track in the am is gonna be exciting. s/b a 170 tenpoint. (I seen the deer and it's a monster!).

No 170 yet... rained on us all morning. Beans are still up... trying to respct his crops. I think it's out in them beans.

Had a track for this morning. Hunter backed out good. Was to "look over to the right trail" and get back to me. Meanwhile I run his pics past another 2 trackers. He leaves me hanging for 4 1/2 hours while drinking beer at the cabin. I cancelled it and he's pissed...
Got a call this morning. Hour away, believes it is a liver hit (@ last rib angled towards opposite leg) He wants to start just before last blood. We get there and he says... I'm not positive where last blood is. It's in my phone but not sure.
(No TP or sticks to mark it) He took me to my truck and gave me some cash. Hard to get them on the tailgate like that.
